Working out on the backburner

So I've been slacking big time with the working out.  My best friend and her husband came to visit last weekend and we pretty much sat on our butts eating and drinking the entire weekend.  Some how I was lucky enough to not gain any weight with that stupid move.
Last night I went to the grocery store and bought loads of veggies, fruit, tofu, brown rice, almond milk, yogurt, etc so that my eating was back on track. I'm really happy I did. I feel 10 x better about everything.  I made it through that little set back and I think I needed that cheat weekend to get it out of my system.  Forward from now on :)

Day 3 of Workout

Finished my workout today and felt great about it. I'm super sore and my legs are screaming at me every time I sit down!  It actually pushes me to go harder the next day. I know how hard I'm working on this. I decided to do measurements today and was horrified at what I found..ehhh
Bust : 38 1/4
Waist: 33
Hips : 40
Stomach where my belly button is : 36

So I have a lot of inches to be getting off all those areas!

Hair

Avi's hair just keeps on growing and growing. She hasn't had a REAL haircut yet besides us cutting her bangs.  I think it's time to get a trim! When it's dry you can't tell it's this long because it has so much curl to it.

Cut off

This blogging really is addicting. I don't care who does or doesn't read. It's nice just to get it all off my chest.  I feel I should say that I gave up beer 9 days ago.  Now I'm no alcoholic, I just really enjoy beer and my husband and I like to try new beers.  I decided that the only way to get this weight off and to get healthy was to swear off beer.  I've had wine and a margarita since that decision which I don't feel horrible about because it is in moderation.  I was extremely sick all week (along with Avi who unfortunately ended up in the hospital for 2 days) so I feel it was the perfect week to give it up and really try to kick my butter in gear..all in all I'm really proud of myself for not drinking it. I feel good!

Friends

Tonight we had our neighbors and their three kids come over for margaritas and for the kids to play.  It was a great time. It's so nice to have other adults around for an evening. I find myself going semi loopy during the day talking to an almost two year old all day long.  There son just turned 1 Jan, 1 and Avi is about to turn 2, but they had a great time together and played very well.  So I had to catch some pictures of them together!

Dinner

Along with my last post we have been eating pretty good. Avi more so than Kade. Chicken, brown rice, carrots, edamame, snap peas, and black beans for dinner for all of us. Just gotta keep it up with every meal!

Body Image

Body image is a funny thing. One day I'm at piece with the extra chunk I have and know it takes hard work to get it off and the next I'm hating myself and too disgusted to look in the mirror. It's this constant up/down that's depressing. I hate feeling the way I do. I don't need to look model perfect, heck I don't even need to be super skinny. I just want to be back to my healthy size and to feel good about myself. I find myself making excuses for not working out. Oh the house needs to be cleaned, the kids need this, dinner needs to be made, groceries are needed, etc. It's almost easier that way because I have a legitimate excuse on why I didn't get up and be active. Then at the end of the day I feel horrible because I didn't take that 30 minutes out of my day to be selfish and work on me. I can't figure out why I feel like I need to do everything for everyone else. I need to get in the mind set that certain things can wait a little while, I don't need to run to every yell, groceries can wait a little while.
So with all that being said, I worked out today :) I did my Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred and plan on finally sticking with it for the full 30 days. I cut out beer and fast food (which rarely gets eaten in our house), and soda. I hope I finally have the motivation to do this for me and only me.
